allison burr

Allison began her hairdressing career at Vidal Sassoon in 1996 after a brief, but successful career in the advertising industry. She moved to New York City in 2002, having previously worked as a stylist for Vidal Sassoon in both Chicago and London.

After nine years with Vidal Sassoon she joined Arrojo Studio in 2005 and most recently, Pangea Salon in Union Square. In 2008, Allison opened MINT, a new concept salon with business partner, Charlene Dougan.

Allison is an educator and was an integral part of the advanced training programs at both Vidal Sassoon and Arrojo Studios. She has instructed at education seminars for IBS, Midwest Beauty shows and at the Wella Studio in NY's Rockefeller Plaza.

She has been featured on "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and behind the scenes on TLC's "What Not To Wear.” She has worked on runway shows for NY’s Fashion Week and F.I.T.’s Student Runway show.

Her motto is "you must be open, for that is how creativity flourishes!"
